Tom came to our attention through his hilarious and original short “Kid Show”, done as his senior BFA film project at Rhode Island School of Design in 2007. Tom is a relentless maker. His work, whatever the medium, exhibits a sharpness of vision and a unique personal charm. With a sensitive eye and disregard for conscious styling, Tom courts his characters, movements and scenes into playful and unusual stories. Audiences are catching on.
In November 2009, Tom directed and animated a music video “You Cried Me” for Asthmatic Kitty Records artist Jookabox. The video received 40,000 plus online views in the first week. “Kid Show” has screened at Slamdance, AFI Dallas, ROFLCon, was featured on Channel Frederator Episode #206, was a selection of the 2009 Nicktoons Network Animation Festival and won the Jury prize at the Columbia University National Undergraduate Film Festival.
Tom was featured a while back on Spike Jonze’s blog WeLoveYouSo.com where they interviewed Tom and showcased his past and present work. (http://weloveyouso.com/2009/11/tom-deslongchamp)

His recent Copper Mtn Swingers spot won a 2011 regional ADDY.
