Top Three Soccer Picks for Matchday 1 of the Premier League

The wait will be over. The Premier League is back! Even though Spain and Germany resume next week and Italy the subsequent week, in addition, it means my weekly column of betting picks makes its return!
Football bettors rejoice!
For new readers, I place this column each Friday and put my favorite picks across the European football world (of fair value;??I won’t consist of anything in the -200 area ) and usually outline some news, notes and trends that have grown across the leagues. My focus is normally Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1, but I will throw in the occasional Eredivisie or Liga NOS picks sometime??too.
France’s Ligue 1 begins this weekend also, but I will use this week’s column for a trio of all Premier League selections.
The Premier League will be deep. Yes, we’ve got the big six, however clubs like Everton, Wolves, Leicester, Watford and West Ham can, on paper , put some fear into these bigger clubs and also create the table intriguing.
Important to notice always: most of the time it’s in your best interest to create your stakes AFTER beginning XI’s have been declared. These come out about an hour before kickoff, but employees can alter everything. Always have a contingency plan or stay away from betting a??game completely if a star??player or 2 are dropped in the starting lineup.
Do not drive anything and always stay up to date on player and manager news and notes.
Also, the first couple of weeks can be rough. What’s changed over a club over the summer break? Is that fresh move likely to pan out from the Premier League? Who is this new supervisor? Occasionally it might be best to wait for a few games before you start gambling so you are able to find a sense of any particular team.
That is my advice for you. Me? I’m gonna jump into headfirst this week and I’ve got three Premier League stakes up.
Here’s hoping we begin with a bang! Let us go!

The darlings of a casual Premier League viewer and lots of a footy bettor looking for an underdog play last year, open the new campaign on the street at Leicester. Even though the underdog 1X2 price of +260 looks pretty great, my play here will be OVER 1.0 goal for Wolves at +120.
First things first: Wolves were consistently much better against teams that dominated ownership, letting their opponents”think” they were getting their way,??playing”their game” But in fact, anglers were in their best in this specific area and then pouncing on mistakes using a blistering counter-attack that often yielded pretty soccer as well as prettier goals.
That is a large part of the rationale I’ll be financing the Wolves OVER 1 into their opener. Leicester completed eighth in the Premier League in possession last year (50.8percent ) and this will potentially allow Wolves to sit back and play their game.
But another huge issue for Leicester is that the fact that their best centre back, Harry Maguire, has been sold to Manchester United without a replacement coming in. What does that mean for the center of the backline? Well, more than likely, we’ll visit Jonny Evans and ??aglar S??y??nc?? and while the latter played with some solid minutes last season, I just don’t find them doing enough to keep Wolves off the board.
The Foxes won this fixture 2-0 last season, but Wolves got revenge in January using a 4-3 goal-fest from the reverse fixture. I am not suggesting we see seven objects in this but??I surely do not see Wolves being kept off the scoresheet. I expect this team to be filled with confidence to open the year.

Man, did anybody in the Premier League have a much worse move window compared to Crystal Palace? In addition, you may make a case that Everton had one of the best five windows.
Palace is going to be a disaster this season. They sold promising young fullback Aaron Wan-Bissaka and essentially did nothing with all the money that they got for him. Who did they earn? Well, it’s a veritable who’s who’s boring Premier League players: Jordan Ayew, James McCarthy and Gary Cahill direct the underwhelming list of incomings.
I am able to chat about how I like the loan??move for midfielder Victor Camarasa from Real Betis, but it’s irrelevant. I like OVER 2.5 in +115 within this one and also when I look at the possible Everton XI, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Toffees care of the number themselves.
Everton could have an assault which includes Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Alex Iwobi and Moise Kean on Saturday, the latter two coming from Arsenal and Juventus respectively. That is a pretty great quartet correct there, people.
Only a couple of the past four Premier League encounters between these two could have eclipsed 2.5 and this fixture last year generated a drab 0-0 contest but it did yield 22 attempts by the visitors.
Sure, it’s always tricky from the first weeks when it comes to betting, but I’ll tell you this much: I’ll be seeking to play against Palace at every turn this season and a huge reason for this is a lack of center backs the likes of Maguire. I think Everton includes a field day here but that I wouldn’t be amazed to see Palace struck the board. So I’ll take OVER 2.5.

If you read my column onto Premier League Futures Bets, you will notice I enjoy Brighton to have relegated this year. I don’t expect much out of this team and I’m gonna try fading them into their mill away to Watford this particular weekend.
I like Watford a lot. They have the capacity and personnel to perform some attractive football and score a few big wins and money wagers with adequate costs attached. Like this spot at -110.
The Hornets stack the Center of the pitch within their 4-2-2-2 formation and boast gifted players such as Troy Deeney, Gerard Deulofeu, Roberto Pereyra and Abdoulaye Doucour??. In addition, they included exciting wide player Isma??la Sarr out of Stade Rennais as well as experienced forwards Danny Welbeck. I already liked the setup but having a potential and a veteran coming in, Watford has filled out some detail.
Brighton doesn’t really bring much to the table, but did add some intriguing pieces to the mixture like Neal Maupay, Leandro Trossard and underrated midfielder Aaron Mooy. However, I believe they are totally outclassed in this , particularly at Vicarage Road.
Nearly a year ago to the day, Watford won this fixture 2-0 thanks to a brace from Pereyra, who actually faces a late fitness test if he is to feature??for Javi Gracia. Still, I think the Hornets are in a position to bag a win in front of the home crowd and get their season off to a buzzing start.
On that note, I’ll finish this week’s column.
